I have experience teaching children of nearly each age group from 3 years to 22 years. When I used to teach children in the age group of 3 years to 6 years. The mother of some children used to ask me why our child could not write or why my child is not interested in coloring or drawing there is a lot of problem with the children of this age group that they do not want to write or draw, they are more interested in orals I have adopted a few methods using which I have seen changes in such children who did not write anything or who did not like to draw anything.
Methods are :
- Use clay or dough: While cooking takes a small piece of the dough and give it to your child let him play with it, this strengthens the muscle of the child’s fingers also enhances the child’s gripping power or you can take help of clay you can ask your child to make things using clay but at the same time keep a constant watch at your child so that to ensure that he should not take clay in the mouth or gulp it down, this will also help your child in strengthening of muscles and enhancing gripping power.
- Blackboard chalk or whiteboard markers: Buy a blackboard with chalk or a white board with marker this attracts children to write, as it makes them feel as if they are teaching in school as children of age group of 3 to 6 imitates their elders so they try to become teacher and this method helps them to enjoy Writing and drawing things. This would eventually develop interest for writing and coloring amongst children.
- Drawing sheet+ crayons+ pencil colors: As children observe their parents and try to execute things in same way so in order to make your child draw certain things or color them ,you yourself draw certain things and color them when your child is around. This will develop interest in child for drawing and coloring which is eventually the Its step in learning writing or in developing writing skills.
Try these methods as these methods are easy to employ and believe me they will show great results.
